Step 5 “Imagination,” Do You Believe In Ghosts?

Do You Believe in Ghosts, or what some people would call “Orbs?”

One of these curious “balls of light” showed up in a photograph of me not long ago and really peaked my imagination.

We all love a good mystery don’t we?  :-)

( It’s a bit off topic but do let me know what you think these orbs might be in your comments below, and if you have any “Orb” or ghost photos of your own share those too!  My latest thinking is that “ghosts” are a phenomenon of “uncontrolled imagination.”  What do you think? )

Ok, back to the task at hand of understanding this

5th of 13 steps to Be All You Can Be, Imagination.

Remember we began with Step 1 DESIRE which can be transmuted into MONEY when you have MASTERED, ASSIMILATED and BEGUN TO MAKE USE of all 13 success principles being explained and tied together.

So I’ve been doing some deep thinking about things lately, especially how powerful our imagination really is.

Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.”

Walt Disney was reported to have said about Disney World just before he died, ”If I had not seen it you would never be able to experience it.”

Napoleon Hill in Think and Grow Rich calls Imagination…

“The Workshop of the Mind” and considers it the fifth step to Riches.

He also said that the impulse, the DESIRE (let’s also add the word IDEA), is given shape, form and ACTION through the aid of the imaginative faculty of the mind.

Napoleon also believed our own brains are both a broadcasting and a receiving station for the “VIBRATION OF THOUGHT.”

“Our only limitation lies in our development and use of our imagination,” he said.

In his opinion there are Two Forms of Imagination:

1.  Synthetic Imagination – being the arranging old concepts, ideas, or plans into new combinations.  Where nothing “New” is created.  It is synthetic imagination that is used most by the inventor, with the exception of the Genius, who draws upon the next form of imagination when unable to solve a problem through simple rearranging of the known.

2.  Creative Imagination – is really interesting!  This is the realm of “hunches” and “inspirations” where the finite human mind has direct communication with Infinite Intelligence.  It’s here where basic and new ideas are handed over to us.  It is through this faculty of the mind that “thought vibrations” or “influences” from the minds of others are received.  It is through this application of imagination that one individual may “tune in” or communicate with the subconscious minds of others ( see step 3 Autosuggestion here ), is that cool or what! :-)

You may remember from Step 4 Specialized Knowledge that Imagination is the catalyst that unites a good idea with the specialized knowledge required to translate it into SUCCESS.

You can put IMAGINATION “to work” for instance building a Plan or Plans to transform DESIRE/IDEAS into money.

When you reduce a PLAN to WRITING you will have definitely given concrete FORM to your initially intangible DESIRE/IDEAS.

This begins the process of converting THOUGHT into its physical counterpart because DESIRE/IDEAS are thought impulse!

Truly thoughts and IDEAS are things, and their scope of operations is the world itself.

IDEAS CAN BE TRANSMUTED INTO CASH THROUGH THE POWER OF DEFINITE PURPOSE, PLUS DEFINITE PLANS.

Are you someone who believes that riches will come by way of hard work and honesty alone?

Riches, when they come in Huge quantities, are never the result of HARD work!  Riches come, if they come at all, in response to definite demands, based upon the application of definite principles, and not by chance or luck.

Generally speaking, an IDEA is an impulse of thought that impels action by an appeal to the imagination.  All master sales people know that IDEAS can be sold where merchandise cannot.  Ordinary salespeople don’t know this – that’s why they are ordinary.

For instance, many people buy titles (IDEAS) and not contents of books.  It’s has happened more than once that a publisher (and even an internet marketer :-) ) has merely changed the name of a book that was not moving, and sales suddenly jumped upwards of millions of copies being sold.  The inside of the book was not changed in any way.  The “old” cover that wasn’t selling was replaced with a new one with “box office” value.

As simple as this example may seem, it was an IDEA!

IMAGINATION at work.

There is no standard price on IDEAS. Creators of ideas make their own price and, if they are smart, get it.

The movie industry is another great example of this.  It has created many millionaires, many of which couldn’t create ideas – BUT – they had the Imagination to recognize ideas when they saw them.

The Success of Andrew Carnegie, thought to be the worlds first billionaire, came because he surrounded himself with people who created ideas and people who put ideas into operation.  Doing so made himself and others fabulously rich.

IDEAS are intangible forces, but they have more power than the physical brains that give birth to them.

Initially you give life and action and guidance to ideas, then they take on power of their own and such a power that is able to sweep aside all opposition.

Consider the power of Christianity, which began with a simple idea.

“Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”

This Christ IDEA and many others in the realm of FAITH go marching on!

What is a deepest DESIRE that You have which You would like to be continued long after Your limited form of a body return its Content back to its Source?

You’ll give birth to Your intangible DESIRE giving it concrete Form when you leave your comments to this post.

I look forward to our ongoing conversation there!

And, I sure appreciate you reading such a long and deep thinking post. :-)

Peace, God is.

    Hi Tim,
Yes it rather a strange light reflecting off your camera lens!
I don't believe in ghosts, but I do believe that the Lord is in
    control of such things.
I have a wild imagination and I need the stablity of the Lord to keep my mind from thinking crazy things.
I am very creative and I will imagine all kinds of things that you
probably would never think of. You will be sound a sleep and I will be thinking about the strange 'orb' in Tim's life.
I hope that he is going to be okay? What could it be? I will be up all night thinking!
No go, I would rather just put my faith in the Lord and KNOW that
He is in control of all things and I don't have to worry about Tim!
I find such things under mine my self confidence, believe it or not!
I suppose I could think that it is an angel from the LORD, to watch over you, that is much more comforting to me!
Another thing I could suggest is that you get one of the
Extraordinary Minds on your case !
Thanks Tim for all the wild thoughts and good thoughts!
Take care and have a good week!
    See Ya! J
    Your Friend,
    Jackie

Wonderful insights Jackie! Thank you for taking the time to share with us “your imagination.” :-)

Imagination really is a powerful driver of actions, feelings, joys, doubts, worries, desires, concerns and especially Beliefs!

I personally appreciate the wonderful Peace and confident “state of mind” that you mentioned you enjoy. Often it seems that as a result of spiritual beliefs/decisions we can offer our Imagination into a place of “higher order” to make some sense of the chaos in this “imaginary world” of ours.

I believe, as challenging as it may be at times, that we do have Absolute Control over our Thoughts/Imagination…IF we are Aware of the Choice and Take Action with that Choice, especially before we may take too many “unconscious actions” which leave us so “at the Effect” (of our Choices) that we can become utterly convinced we are no longer the Cause of what we might be experiencing.

“Awareness” and “Mindfulness” are the words that re-mind me to never surrender my place as the Cause of what I experience.

“Uncontrolled Imagination” might be better understood as Mental Discipline and even Mind Training being reflected in the daily practice of monitoring our ego thoughts…recognizing them as the defenses against the Truth that they can be.

For instance, when I find myself feeling angry, guilty, fearful, anxious and/or depressed etc. I notice that these are all responses to defend against re-membering my True Self…which knows only the Oneness of Heaven's Love.

I believe it is only our Mind's decision that has consigned us to Heaven or to Hell, the realization that we are no longer victims of the world, but only of our own desires and wishes.

What you have shared Jackie reminds me now of the statement, “If you love something set it free…”

    WHAT FREEDOM!!!

No longer at the mercy of things beyond us, forces we cannot control and thoughts that come to us against our will.

The book “A Course in Miracles” in its workbook section has a Lesson 16 titled:

    “I Have No Neutral Thoughts”

It describes and offers a practice of re-membering that…

“Everything you see is a result of your thoughts. Thoughts are not BIG or little, Powerful or weak.

All thoughts are merely True or False.

True thoughts “create” their own likeness and extend Truth.

False thoughts “make” their likeness and multiply illusions.”

Thank you so much Jackie for your comment to this post, and helping this discussion to be further extended!

We each indeed can multiply nothing, but we will not extend it by doing so.

Every thought brings either Peace or War, either Love or Fear.

A neutral result is impossible, because a neutral thought is impossible.

Curious to see what further results this post and its comments will extend! :-)

    What do you Imagine?

    Tim,
I don't know what the orb is, but your post does cause one to pause and wonder. I think the most successful people, and perhaps the happiest, are those who imagine, believe, do (act). -Norene

Thank you so much Norene, well put…and with far fewer words than I usually use. :-)

Tim,Kenny here again I sure hope you are having a great morning, this new relationship of ours is pretty cool cause my wife and her family are from Norway.I think they spell it Roan?and the name is Bakken on her family tree, just thought you might want to know that so heck we may be family and not even know it.So back to your message this ball of light in your picture must be some form of energy, may be it happens to people that really need to share heart felt feelings to the world, cause the true power of God we would not be able to handle the brightness anyway so if you are having this happen in a simple photo, then just keep doing what you are doing and continue giving, cause that old saying is true the more we give the more we get back, did'nt Jesus constanly give? The lord works thru us all in ways that our simple little minds can not take and figure out so we are always trying to do just that,if we really learned to follow our heart and not our head I think we as man kind would be better off.Of course your mind and heart work as one, because I have this little saying,no one is Stupid if you are not aware of something you just don't know about it but once someone shares it with you,you can then make up your own mind and then your common sense comes into play and you see if you even like it or not.And if you like it and have a passion towards it you will succeed at it no matter what it may be.So since you have a passion towards people, just continue writing and your words will touch people no matter where they may be and when they read it common sense tells them that God works in Great ways, thru others.Kenny

Kenny it's always a treat for me to read your comments on the blog, thank you yet again my friend! :-)

Don't know any Roan's yet in Norway…have to ask my wife and her mom, I'll get back to you about it if they do know any locals here with your norsk family's name.

In any case Kenny we're practically related now brother, so do know that we consider you part of our happy viking family.

Love your theory and suggestions of the curious balls of light, yes what you put forth makes good sense to me.

One final thought on all that you shared…

(which goes well beyond what words can convey…and yet somehow your writing does convey it Kenny! :-) )

I believe that we can only perceive in another what we know in our Self.

Just wanted to re-mind each of us of that Truth within a “dream of perception.”

Whenever we extend anything to another, we are recognizing that we know it as well inside.

So Kenny, right back at you brother!

As you wrote quite well with the words,

“…So since you have a passion towards people, just continue writing and your words will touch people no matter where they may be and when they read it common sense tells them that God works in Great ways, thru others.”

Kenny, you true viking you, I can only add…

    Peace, God is.
